Lorne

We met up with Chrissy McDonald in Geelong and went for a short walk around the local shops and in to the boat harbor. It was a lovely day but not hot enough for Tine apparently. We were all prepared (or not prepared) to camp along the great ocean road and then after some time going up to Cobram to do some cherry picking for a guy called Devin however Chrissy was quite persuasive in our decision to stay in Lorne as she offered us the keys to her beach house. We kindly accepted and after arriving quickly went about finding ourselves a job in the local town.

After the 7th attempt we struck gold at a cafe called "Cafe Kaos" where a pleasent bloke called Hamish decided he could hire us both in the busy season to work in his beach-side cafe.

Lorne is a beatiful place, it faces south-easterly, as such, it misses out apparently on the "big waves" but they sure look pretty big to me. The picture you see here is our 20 minute walk to work from today. I am guessing work will start off during the weekends but as the season ramps up, I guess we will get more work at the cafe.

We still have a LOT to explore on the "Great Ocean Road" and intend to stay down here for a while. Especially during the summer, as I don't know if I can handle the full on Australian summer up north. Tine on the other hand would probably quite like the humid heat.
